An old thread ressurrected, because now we actually have a Frank-Zappa-Straße, formerly Straße 13. :thumb:

Damn, our streets suck.
Castro, California, Saratoga, De Anza, El Camino, San Antonio, Steven's Creek. Where's the creek?!?!?! THERE IS NO WATER HERE.
I guess the only one that's kinda cool is San Tomas Aquino.

It's the creek that runs from the Stevens Creek Reservoir to the SF Bay. Runs close to the neighborhood where I growed up.
Only interesting street name around here is Buzzard Roost Road. It's named for a bunch of drunks, nicknamed "buzzards", that used to hang out next to a tavern there way back when.

Well I'll be damned, there is one. I just checked on the map. Might have to check out Stevens Creek County Park some time.

Nice!
Harold Holt was a prime minister of Australia in the 60's. He loved spear fishing and one day he disappeared, thought to have drowned. They named a swimming pool in his honour. :wot:

I spotted a private street named "My Way" not too long ago. Obviously a Sinatra fan, whoever named that road.

I've come to the conclusion that the powers-that-be-who-name-the-roads here in the Midwest have absolutely no imagination. They've taken to giving roads names like Lisa Lane, Karen Drive, Anna Court. Boring, I tell you. Hell, my road doesn't even have a name; it's just referred to as an access road. I've submitted suggestions for names for my road to the county zoning & highway board; names like DragonLady Deadend, Sith Street (No Outlet), and TimeLord Lane, but haven't heard back from anyone yet. Go figure.
