Streets in my area (outside Baltimore, Maryland) are a combination of the words Spring, Green and Lake.
Lakespring, Greenspring, Springlake, Greenlake, etc.

You're around Baltimore. Sweet. I'm in College Park.
And a hearty LOL to MsLedd.

Whoever named Park avenue mustve been a bastard who only liked trees for their decorative value, because all there is in the way of "park" is a stupid tree-line in the middle of the road.

That's pretty park-y for the average street. Especially in a city!

Vicolo dei ciechi. Passage of the blinds (is true).
Vicolo del torto. Passage of the twisted (this too).
On the other side of this round planet...
London street, facing Paris street...

[EDIT]
What was the point if there was no translation anyway. Mega old edit.

Well, there's a town named Goobang that consists of a dry creek bed and a cemetery.
Nearby there is a dirt track a couple of metres wide named the Newell Highway.
It's all true, unlike some of the things I see here!

Here in Kaiserslautern, there seem to a few names from Kaiserslautern specific history (Barbarossaring, named after the eponymous Emperor was had an association with this city), many after nearby cities and places (Pirmasenserstrasse, Mainzer Landstrasse, Mannheimerstrasse, Triererstrasse, etc.), several after composers (Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Bach), and several after various political personalities (Marx, Engels, Breitscheid, etc.) and the bland usuals, like Marktstrasse and Steinstrasse. Nothing too exciting.

I live near Decimal Place, and Square Circle isn't too far away.
Then there's a whole area with places like "Moonstone Byway", "Wild Briarway", and even "Jenny Wren Way".
Chemical Court, Underwriter's Avenue. Hell, one of the more famous streets in Toronto is Avenue Road.

In these here parts, we have
Love Lane
Pucker Street
Folly Lane
which may or may not have a common history. Oh, and the noteworthy but mysterious
Bread & Milk Street
