Skyboxes can be fiddly if you haven't done them before. Besides, these days the preferred method is to use static meshes for the sky. It isn't just "texturing a box".
Unless you're going to be helpful, ProjectX, don't post at all.

Oooh... Here's something helpful make sure the player can't get to the texture that was made a fake backdrop. Otherwise... well, they die if they try and enter it.

WHAT??? Make a subtracted cube outside of where the rooms are, texure it, light it and put a special actor in. Wow, really tricky :tsktsk:
Wow, nothing like unwarranted hostility, huh?
There are snags that are often hit if you're not familiar with the process; there are snags that sometimes happen even if you are familiar with it; there are plenty of things you can do with a skybox beyond simple textures; most of the time a new user doesn't know to set the fake backdrop flag. Those sound like places to get hung up on to me.
Finally, if you don't like my post(s) attempting to help people, feel free to ignore them, and/or piss off.

On a related note, has anybody noticed very poor performance when looking at a fake backdrop?
I created a simple skybox and made the ceiling a fake backdrop, and I achieve about 1 fps when looking directly up at it.
