Strange problem with new graphic card and Thief
I have upgraded my graphic card to a sapphire 2400 HD, to play bioshock. Working fine.
I also play Thief so I checked dromed, working fine. Then I tried to play a fan mission though Darkloader and after the load screen it crashes to desktop.
Any ideas.?

Hi Biker, Nicki has told me what the term Vanilla denotes, now I understand lol. The answer to that is NO, original and fm will not play. All the load screens are fine, its when you go into game mode but as I say dromed is fine editor and game mode. All apart from the clouds are now a bit low res looking.
With my limited knowledge I think it may be the graphic drivers being to up to date, with the bioshock thing going on there. If you have a different idea please let me know, I can,t do without Thief.

this is lazy but in most cases it works. Completely un-install thief and re-install, then apply patches and if all works, make a zip of the thief folder so you wont have to go through this crap again..

If reinstalling doesn't work, what operating system do you have? Does it just crash with no error message?
You could try ddfix if you have not already: (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121449) Even if you don't need it, it makes the colour depth in thief a lot nicer anyway.
