I'm afraid I can't get very far on Toshiba's website without knowing the exact model of Notebook you have. It looks like you may have got hold of the wrong driver, but it's difficult to tell with these things.

Toshiba are generally very bad at keeping their drivers updated, which isn't a problem for running Word and Excel but IS a problem for gaming. They also tend to block you from installing the generic drivers (as you've found out). The (
http://www.omegadrivers.net/) Omega drivers might be worth a try.

My computer is a Satellite A70. I'll take a look on that site.

Okay. I installed the omega driver on my computer and I have no more weird lines, but there is now another glitch. The characters I try to stick in my levels can only be seen in the main view, except for the helmet, eyes and teeth. The characters overlap with the rest in all the other views.
You can take a look here:

I'm not sure I understand your problem. Do you mean that the eyeballs and teeth and other attachments are not lining up with the character mesh in the editor? If so that's normal, and should self-correct when you actually run the game.

This happens, but that's not all.
The characters appears the way I see it in the 3D view in every other view. The character meshes can be seen overlaping the view and moving as I move my 3D view. Please take a look at this link:

Whoah, that's crazy stuff! Does that happen to whatever item you have highlighted, or what? If you select it in the Top view, do the other three views show it like it looks in the Top view? Or is it always how it looks in the 3D view? (Not that your answer to that detail will help really, just curious).
There are some settings that I haven't messed around with, such as when you right click on one of the view header bars (like somewhere near the T F S buttons or something), you get a menu, and I think I saw something about locking objects or using large icons or other odd sounding things, which might possibly affect stuff like that.
But it's probably just wrong drivers again. Try unistalling them and getting a newer or older version. You could try older versions as far back as two years even.

No, just to character meshes.

Every view shows things like that at all time, whether I one or another.

Interesting, I'll take a look at that.

Hope this thing or the other is going to work. In case things keep not working and I want to switch to Thief 2 editor, do you think there should be problems with using it?
By the way, some things can't be seen now that I installed a new driver, mostly writings. And It seems I cannot select walls (to change textures, for instance).
Edit: Do I have to remove the default graphic driver? Do take another look at the glitches I get, click here: (

very odd, looks more like a graphics driver issue than ever. I don't know if you really need to uninstall drivers before installing a different version. I've done it both ways and never noticed any difference, but drivers are not an exact science (at least not to us non-software engineers).
I would encourage you to try two or three other drivers versions, then if you still have troubles, maybe at that point abandon the editor, but not before (in other words, try a little more to fix it before giving up :thumb: )

I did, but you didn't make it clear enough what you were talking about - I didn't know what I was supposed to be looking at. :grr:
