I'm in the city of arx right now. And went into the home of the jewellery. He was home so the door was unlocked. Since this game I thought, hmmm let's pump technical as high as possible I was able to open his chest and disarm the trap on the first visit to arx.
I had not done this before, and to my suprise he doesn't seem to mind at all. I figured maybe I had to go invisible at least. But I can just take the 1200 gold gems, and gem dealer's licenses from that chest. Then I double-clicked the license on the shopkeeper, and I sold it to him for even more money.
Is this supposed to go like this? Isn't he supposed to yell thief or something?
This is the earliest I've been this rich :)
I also managed to pick the lock to the laboratory at the snake woman's library. (and now I could activate the portal too)
One thing I was not able to do anymore was making it to the dragon in the ice caves with only jumping :(
Nor was I able to get past the guards at the king who when you first arrive there still guard the upstairs floor. Would have loved to get me backpack early :(
Anyway thought I'd share that. Anyone else have interesting shortcuts with stealth or lockpicking, or maybe some other way.
