Hello board. My name's stormbringer_951. I've occasionally lurked a bit (when the Deus Ex and Thief mood takes me) and now with Thief4 and Deus Ex3 on the horizon, I've decided to sign up. I'm 17, live in the UK and have my AS levels in about a week :). Not best timing ever to waste time on the web, but hey.

In gaming terms, my first proper game was Age of Kings, and I could have done a lot worse. The first time I played a first person shooter was a game I got with some hardware, Joint Ops. After that, I got Battlefield 2142 and cue a long chain of games there. I got my first Thief game, Deadly Shadows in a similar fashion. After horribly dying in the first 5 minutes, I put it aside for about a year. Then when a friend mentioned Thief to me, I started playing it again. Finished it, loved it and I got the whole collection now. Deus Ex I bought after similar recommendations. Currently, I'm playing Dwarf Fortress and loving that too (hoping there's players around here).

I tend to listen to free music on Spotify (pm me if you want an invite) and I frequent a few forums, TWCenter, The Zone Survival Guide, Bay12 Game forums and here. I consider myself well read (in fantasy at least), read A Song of Ice and Fire, The Dark Tower and Andrejz Sapkowski's Witcher series (that's been translated so far). Also read Romance of Three Kingdoms (in Chinese), am reading Water Margin and assorted other books. For music, I like Machinae Supremacy, Johnny Cash, Thousand Foot Krutch, Pink Floyd and some more (can't be bothered to list them now).

On my to play list is Thief 2 (not got round to it yet, some starting pointers on config / helpful utilities would be appreciated), The Nameless Mod for Deus Ex, The Witcher Extended Edition, Penumbra Overture and the latest dev version of UFO Alien Invasion. I'm working a Ice and Fire mod for Total War, Westeros: Total War for Medieval II.

They were prototypes. They went the same way as the Ripley/Alien prototypes in Alien 4: Resurrection.

I'm sure it wasn't pretty, either.
