Stories from the City 3: The Thief-Taker General's hunt. - by calmflow

The new Stories from the City video is out.
I get the feeling the voice actor is trying to be Geoffrey Rush From the Pirates of the Carribean Series. Barbossa has a new career?
The bodies on hooks was a little over the top, guess we know what one of the levels will look like now.
Also, there's the obligatory Inception soundtrack, blarring away in the background.
Tried embedding, couldn't make it work, here's a link to the video.

Edit: Brethren to the rescue, many thanks.

The writing is still weak and unimpressive...along with an unconvincing VA performance.
...Although I like the visual presentation...too bad it won't be used in the game.

I imagine we can expect at some point, a forced confrontation with the Thief Taker General and then an escape sequence. Hope it is like the escape from the Acolytes in T3, loved that.

Anyone else feeling reminded of 'Gangs of New York' whenever you see the Baron?
At least he will give us some action, I guess.
The video itself felt a bit lame and pretentious.
I was almost willing to believe it being produced by some fans.
Which would be OK, but it just does not look very professional.

Hmm... the moustache-twirling villain lacks the signature evil cackle.

The Baron != Thief Taker General (in regards to the "Gangs of New York" reference).

Actually, the whole setting feels like a cross between the "The Gangs of New York" and "Dickensian London"...and not the unique, otherworldly, "The City".

A boss fight won't necessarily be a good thing.

Overall, I agree...with the exception of the visual styling.

Yeah, that parallaxing is pretty cool. Shame about all the edgy grimdark content, though.

What's the Baron got to do with this video?
