Here's what EU Tax Harmonisation actually means for the UK, and the thinking behind it. [albeit 10 years old]
(

It's leaning heavily towards the scenario that UK tax would, in fact, go up. Which wouldn't actually bother me that much if it public money was invested in such magnificent projects as Norman Foster's (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millau_Viaduct) Millau Bridge. France's national rail network is also heavily subsidised, and the railways over there also put the UK to shame. Ideally, I'd like to see higher tax, wiser public spending, and benefits for all (hopefully in the transport arena).
Of course, the UK government would spend it on building shelters for asylum seekers, speed cameras, health & safety inspectors and pissing the remainder into gaping maw of the NHS.
I'd also like to add that Wales is beautiful, although I dislike stereotypical Welshmen (and there's a fair few of them) marginally more than I dislike Tony Blair.

Right now Blair's frantically scrabbling around trying to con as many people as possible into paying him money (e.g. a couple of banks recently) because if he were to get the EU job, he'd then be limited to just the one source of income.
Now don't get me wrong, for his deplorable actions as PM, Blair should be thoroughly ashamed of himself. However, it would be quite funny for Brown to have sulked and (meekly) schemed for 10 years, then finally got the job only for Blair to come grinning back to power. You never know, maybe Brown will pull Britain out of the EU so that he doesn't loose power so soon.

That certainly isn't going to happen. Pulling Britain out of the EU would be political suicide, not to mention a truly idiotic decision.
And con? No. I'm not a Blair fan by any means, but a man with contacts like his doesn't have to con anyone into paying him anything, in fact, I'd say he's probably got the pick of some very tidy little earners.

Are you in favour of privatising the NHS Ulu? It's only a gaping maw because of things like those H&S inspectors, all the managers and the stupido-centric thinking that is at the top of it. If (
http://www.bbc.co.uk/kent/news/features/se_uncovered/rose_gibb.shtml) this woman can get into a position of power with the nonsense that used to come out of her mouth you know that the rot is more to do with government interference than anything else.

Wait, i thought the common argument against these were "they just make money for the government"

Yes, money for the government to spend on the government :D
SE - I don't necessarily want to see the NHS privatised. It needs the Gordon Ramsay of Medicine to sort it the hell out though.

I'm not voting until they have a Welsh version, or at least admit that they don't have a Welsh version.
Not that I speak Welsh, but I still feel I'm being discriminated against :weird:
The Welsh version is on its way,
