Has anyone else experienced this? My character stops moving after a few steps, sometimes more than a few, but then he stops dead. The game itself doesn't freeze, the framerate is nice and smooth, my character just comes to a halt with the game continuing around him. I have to hit "W" again and again to keep him moving. Some times exiting and reloading the game helps, often it doesn't.
I'm running a few mods including: Better Bodies v2, Better Heads, Clothiers of Vvardenfell, Laura Craft, Dread Knights, Bitter Coast Sounds, Juniper's Twin Lamps, Metal Queen Boutique, and CompSlave. I've tried disabling/enabling them all one by one, but again to no avail. I've searched FAQ's on several sites to find any topic like this, but to no avail. I also, for some reason, am not able to register at the Elderscrolls.com forum site, so I can't seek help there. Any help/insight at all would be appreciated. Thanks and all the best.

Do you have a wireless keyboard? A friend of mine has one and Morrowind acted the same way on his machine with no mods involved.

Hmm, I got a wireless keyboard and it works okay for me. But then again I dont have the mods. I'd say reset your controls to default and start a new game, if you havent already. Not sure what to do if that doesnt work, though. Sorry.

Actually, yeah I do have a wireless, but I've played before with this same rig with no problems. I've just unistallled/reinstalled the game. Lost everything, even my saves because I wanted to start from scratch. No problem yesterday after about 3 hours of play, but today it's back. It's funny though, if I use autorun, there's no problem. If I don't touch my mouse and let the character run in a straight line using the W key, again, no problem. The minute I alter my course, however, he comes to a dead stop.
Thanks for the quick responses you guys. I'm going to try to figure this out. I've contacted Bethesda support, so I'll see if they get back to me with anything.
Thanks again and all the best.

Hope they give you some good help and fix this weird bug.

Sounds like it is the wireless keyboard. When you run using 'W' the keyboard has to repeatedly said 'W' over and over. Using autorun, it's just like a toggle - the keyboard sends the key once, and that's it.
If you have a wired keyboard, go ahead and plug that in and see if it works. It should fix your problem.
