I'm thinking I might hold off on Dishonored 2 for now and wait for a better sale and better patches, but the new Deus Ex is two-thirds off and is tempting. Any opinions on that one?
As long as you're aware that you're buying half a game and wont get the other half until DX5 (both the main quest and many of the side quests end abruptly and prematurely, and there are definitely a few inconsequential bits chopped out for dlc) then definitely get it. It's incredibly fun and the level design is a huge improvement over HR.... it would be my GOTY if it had a bit more substance on the story front and was less of a victim of corporate meddling, but then again ive missed out on a lot of the big titles this year...

I played Inside demo a few days ago, definitely getting this at some point.

I bought Mankind Divided when it was 50% off in the last sale. Despite the slightly frustrating technical issues (last time level loading times were this long I was booting games off a cassette, and the frame rate is a little shonky at times) I have been really enjoying it, and if you do all the side quests, it's not nearly as short a game as some claim.

It took me 52 hours to finish, with all side-quests.

It's most definitely a bigger game than Human Revolution despite having far less story content. That can lead it to feel a tad sanboxey at times, but everything is so well crafted with so much detail and personality that it never fully enters Ubisoft/Bethsoft territory. The world is a real joy to be in.

I'm not at all worried about length. I actually stopped playing HR before the end because I'd had enough. In that case I think the DLC (which was integrated in the version I played) actually made the game too long. Anyway, I'm sold :)

Here comes the nostalgia train! I remember seeing tape drives for computers in Radio Shack back in the day. I always thought it was the most awesome idea ever, to be able to load games and stuff off a tape to play.
I never realized that it was considered the janky option, and my 5 1/4 floppy drive was far superior in every way until way later.

I didnt have any problem with the loading times running the game on a potato. You encounter loading screens less frequently than any other DX game, so that helps.

In DX:MD, it is way faster to walk across town than to take the subway. Pity there's a few stops that can't be reached on foot.
Honestly the subway loading scenes always made me laugh. They're SOOO serious and SOOO long. And then I laughed even harder when the cutscene becomes Jensen walking on the not-running subway line.
