Rogue Legacy is $3.74. Not bad.

Civ Beyond Earth was such a disappointment though. Alpha Centuri is far better.

I've grabbed some time on my folks' MacBook to point out that Hitman: The Complete First Season is at £19.99 and an absolute steal at that price. So much game there.

That is an extremely good price for the game. Even if you're not all that much into sandbox experimentation and won't play each level more than once or twice, that's a steal.

Steam award day 3: the test of time award.
<s>Only two games are more than 5 years old;</s> only one game is more than 10 years old.
.... what.
I guess I have to vote for Age of Empires since it's the only one that even deserves to be in this category.

All the games are more than 5 years old, even the newest of them (Skyrim) was released over 5 years ago (5 years and about a month).
These games are older than you give them credit for.

Oops. I had originally only written "only one game is more than 10 years old", then went back and added the first part without thinking about it properly.
Either way, I had expected to see actually old games, like Thief, System Shock, Deus Ex, Half-Life, Doom, Quake 1. Games that were really influential back then, and are still surprisingly good if you replay them now (and where you can still see the excellent design choices that went into them, even if their graphics have aged.)

Remember that a large portion of gamers in the world haven't been playing games for as long as many of the people on this forum. For them 5 years may be a long time and some of the earliest stuff they played could be that "new".

I purchased Rise of the Tomb Raider and Dishonored 2 today.
From what I've read of the PC version, I hope I won't have to soon order Dishonored 2 on the PS4...
There was a time when these Steam Holiday sales destroyed me. Now I can resist temptation more so. As of now, I've just bought two games that I've planned to buy and definitely plan to play.
So far so good! I hope it stays that way.
