Some interesting effects of the Winter sale:

In short: More customers bought more games across more of the Steam catalog.
It seems as if the new style has pushed people towards previously "hidden" deals, as opposed to prior sales where most people only looked at the front page for the daily/flash deals.

Well you didn't really have much of a choice, this time round.

ANOTHER sale.... Lunar new year... ends February 12... why don't they just permanently discount everything if the sales are going to be this frequent?

WTF another sale already. Not that I'm complaining.

This sale isn't as massive as the Winter sale, a quick glance at their sale version of the discovery queue showed many games with low (10-20%) or no discount.

Didn't see anything worth grabbing that I didn't have already.

I feel like this sale exists solely to collect data for Valve's trend analysis guys.

"According to these trend lines, we have too many sales."

'This scatter chart tells us that we usually have sales during Summer and Christmas, and people buy games during sales at these times.'
