Ugh. Yes. JUST GET ON WITH IT SO I CAN SELL SHIT ALREADY!
Also the "mattaku", "yatta", "nee~~~~~" and others "ohayou gozaimasu" got on my nerves quicker than people talking to the screen at the cinema. I'm glad you can turn the voices off.
Other than that and the cumbersome, keyboard-only jRPG interface, it's a pretty fun and addictive resource gathering game/OCD.
Still I don't see what the fuss was all about as everybody and their dogs seemed to praise the game on the internet a few weeks ago.

Everyone and their dog? More likely a bunch of highly local 4Chan weaboos and SA Goons.

I wouldn't know about that. But I swear there was a RPS article about Recettear every two days. Then again I'm probably exaggerating because I got an overwhelming impression from the gushing comments.

Just bought Metro 2033 but it doesn't show up in my library because Steam servers are buggin out. (
http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=784747&page=266) Apparently there's widespread poweroutage in Seattle which is messing shit up. Hoping things get fixed before the Sale-time expires or who knows what'll happen. :erg:

I'd raise a ticket with customer support if I were you, henke. You know, just in case.
henke on 30/11/2010 at 17:21
I would if Steam Support wasn't also down at the moment.
Plenty of other people on the Steam forums are having the same problem. Metro 2033 does show up under my Licenses and Subscriptions though so I should be ok once the servers come back on.
*crossing fingers*

Enjoy! The guns are sort of shitty, so stealth it wherever possible and try and find the Hellsing and scoped pneumatics. Also, and I hate the game for not telling me this until too late, keep in mind that switching to military grade ammo (which is also in-game currency) is achieved by holding down R.
@henke: Ah, okay. Long as it shows up there it ought to be fine.

The game actually does tell you that, in the first half hour or so. Which is how far I got. This is the first game I've played so far in which I might have to turn down the settings a bit (or at least run at it a lower res) to play it properly. It's got some pretty fancy lighting effects, at times.
