Have to agree. Nothing that really interested me, that I hadn't already picked up in earlier sales.

Ooh I'd be down for some coop of Hammerwatch. I'm unfortunately a little homebound lately so this would help pass the time. Maybe I should make a separate thread to organize it?

Sounds like a plan!
I hit up Duck on Facebook, but he can be hard to reach these days.

I just bought Hammerwatch too, so if anyone can make co-op work around French time, I'd be up for sommadat.

I'm gonna jump on in a couple of hours. What's the latest you can play?
faetal on 1/11/2015 at 02:07
My availability is sporadic, but my gaming hours tend to be any time between 7pm and midnight on weekdays and any time at all on the weekends. Hit me up if you see me on Steam.

I'd still recommend The Evil Within to anyone who enjoys survival horror games especially now that you can get the game bundled with all of its excellent DLC. The game may not be for everyone but my friends who loved the original resident evil and silent hill games enjoyed it a great deal. If anything, I'd recommend playing the free demo on steam which allows you to go through the games first three chapters. If you do decide to buy the game then you can continue from where you left off in the demo which is kind of cool.

The Evil Within didn't really grab me. :erg:
Neither the story nor the gameplay did much to float my boat. And I'm not averse to 3rd person survival horror games either. Enjoyed RE4, Deadly Premonition and TLOU a lot, but Evil Within? Meh. bleh. geh. beh.
Oh btw I bought and am playing SOMA. It's great!

Errant Signal did a review/video essay on SOMA just a few days ago. He was ambivalent on it, but it's an interesting video (though I generally like the Errant Signal videos).
SOMA is on my Steam wishlist, but mainly the video made me think that I should finally play Alien: Isolation, most likely after AC Unity. After playing an unstoppable killing machine in Revolutionary France for a few weeks, it'll make for a nice change to play someone being hunted by an unstoppable killing machine.

I like Errant Signal a lot. Waiting till I've finished the game before watching that video.
