It took a while but I got TG working finally (never used Linux before). I couldn't find your bindings, though, in the community templates. Are you sure you shared them?

Ah, I seem to have only shared the Thief 2 one. There's a "Conan's Thief on Steam Deck" for playing on the deck itself, and another for the Steam Controller.
Once you download that you can save it and apply it to Thief Gold as well if you find it useful.

The OLED deck is pretty much perfect for Thief. It runs at 90 FPS, and the colour and contrast haven't looked this good since I used to play on a CRT.
The only thing I haven't quite been able to get working is OpenAL/EAX — it works for a bit and then the sound starts crackling. But otherwise it's flawless. I ended up creating my own control scheme (because it's fun) and the amount of customization you can do is incredible.

Yeah. Definitely check out the on screen menus and whatnot - I build a radial menu for weapon selection on the left trackpad complete with custom icons and colors.

Kerrle did you ever get joystick movement working with Thief Gold? The most popular Thief controller configurations use a complicated system of mapping the outer ring of the joystick to shift so that you can toggle run. But it'd be nice to have full analogue movement. Enabling joystick in the Thief options menu doesn't seem to do anything.

Yes. As long as you're using latest NewDark, just enable joystick in Thief Gold and set the controller config to make the left (or right) joystick a standard joystick.
It works great with full analog control.
