I normally play as a stealthy, underhanded bastard.
Occasionally, when I find a flame thrower or a GEP gun I will happily go on wild ramapges.
And there is something about the Hong Kong market that makes me kill every last person in that mission.

I act as stealthily as possible as I move in towards killing the opposition. It's easier that way.

I play in between stealthy and killer. I kill stealthily, after all, J.C. is a trained killing machine. In the beginning, I make sure to kill every NSF Terrorist and criminal in sight, but after I learn the truth, UNATCO and MJ12 troops are dead. Cops and civilians I leave alone, unless they present a threat to me or someone else, then they are no longer innocents but enemies. All threats must be eliminated.

You're a cop! Not a mercenary! The body count should be nothing more than zero! For the first 1/2 of the game I took out all people with Billy Club/Prod/Tranquil darts. But it didn't work once I got to MJ12 troops, they just dont fall down!

i started all stealthy in stuff but then when i discovered that those tactics simply dont work with MIBS in creatures i dropped them. The whole "I'm a cop so body count=low" is total bullshit for the last part of the game. Aliens? Robots? Gimme a break.

Of course. But I avoid them whenever I see them. Kill only if I absolutely MUST.

stealth just didn't pay off in Deus Ex. there didn't seem to be any reason NOT to kill anyone, except to make the game more difficult, and even then it was pretty damn easy.
if a game hands me a nice variety of weapons for a lethal takedown, and a freaking baton, prod and horribly limited supply of tranq darts for a non-lethal one ..... I mean, I like to play stealthy, but in Deus Ex it was just ridiculous.
although I play non-lethally anyway, just out of habit. :p

Lethal weapons make people go "AAAARGH!", and make everyone come and find out what the hell is happening, nonleathal weapons don't.

Going in - shotgun blazing - yelling "No one walks away!" can be quite funny at times.
