That's right. I can't believe I didn't catch the reference to the climax of SS2 there. Now I remember. This is a clever piece of work. And it still has the Thief FM forum running in circles in excitement ... for being multiplayer Thief. :laff: It's awesome that he got away with it.

Wait... Thief doesn't have multiplay? Then how'd he make this vid?

Especially since you hear the "nah" sound file from SS2 when he pulls out the shotgun. That TOTALLY gave it away for me.
Why am I not surprised? :p

You can still control AI motions through conversations. I'm pretty sure it's just that. Look at the contest missions Thievery and A Guard Called Benny and you'll see what I mean.
When I said "... for being multiplayer Thief" above, what I meant was that he actually got away with getting people to believe that he really pulled it off ... and in the
same video that he covered Thief Shock, to boot; a 2-for-1 April Fools deal if you ask me. Of course you can't do a lot of the things he did in the video in real life ... he just used a lot of tricks to make it appear that you could, photoshopping things in.
For example, I noticed the lightgem bobbled at one point, which made it looked photoshopped (at first I thought he put the ShockEd stuff in Dromed and photoshopped in stuff like the brackets, gun and inventory stuff. But when I noticed the lightgem bobble, I suspected he did it the other way around and that would probably have been less work all around). The other tip-off was the bit of Jorge you see through the window, which makes the level look like it's been multibrushed into a new setting.

Remarkably, it is still possible to compile a hybrid executable out of this tree that can play both Thief and System Shock 2 based on a variable in a configuration file.

The hilarious thing is that they're actually much closer to the truth in that thread than anyone here is.

Wouldn't the greatest joke be if it actually was true ? :ebil:

Cept that just couldn`t be done in either engine. Too many things that would be impossible to do.

Lol. Quite accurate too, Kolya :)
