I don't even know why the haters (genus: Specious Facetious )post in this sub-forum anymore. It's titled Thief IV Anticipation, something they clearly suffer a deficit of.

If they're going to refuse on principle to play the game they have no stake in discussing it and so are just...wasting their time. How on earth can it be fulfilling to gather all this genuinely good news about the game solely to disregard it or view it through a negative filter?

Perhaps it's an act of desperation from those that seem so emotionally invested in seeing this game fail: As more and more of their grievances with the game are removed (Exp) or rendered irrelevant due to player customisation their argument begins to sound increasingly weak. So they cling ever harder to the few totemic bugbears they have left, oblivious to how entitled and pedantic they start to sound.

Thief was a game of stealthy exploration, Nuthief looks like at least the equal of DS and Dishonored in this regard (Hitman/MGS are very different experiences so stop bringing them up). Therefore a question occurs; why is a different kind of stealthy exploration, on a par or superior to DS, inherently wrong to you? No one is taking the experience of the original trilogy away from you; you get more FMs every year, so why so serious?

Note I've not made an arbitrary declaration that Nuthief is going to be 'teh best gaem evar' and so am secure in the knowledge that all I'll have to remonstrate myself for, should the game be bad, is that I was interested in what I saw and gave a game a chance. Will many of these here be able to say that?

Really guys, I just want a game that resembles the original Thief games, and lives up the legacy of LGS. It doesn't have to be perfect. But I'm buying the game no matter what, and getting as much fun out of it as I can. And I'm sure I'll critique the shit out of it once I've played it. So there.

And a shill, as per the Wikipedia definition, is "someone who purposely gives onlookers the impression that they are an enthusiastic independent customer of a seller (or marketer of ideas) for whom they are secretly working".
