Heh heh heh, you just wait til you get to Yantar...

The cleanup in Agroprom is fun the first time, but I am pissed that soldiers respawn there all the time, I'd like to explore that place in peace, just for once.
And yes, Yantar is incredible.

Yeah, the main reason I didn't pick out all the soldiers was that I felt like I was just wasting ammo. A patch will likely fix this, making us able to loot those piles of bodies.

I arrived at that place at noon. I didn't have the patience to wait until night, so I employed my super stealth skills, and made it from the sewer entrance to the back of the building without being detected, in broad daylight (had to nail the guy in tower near the gap with a silenced pistol on the way though). Unfortunately I had to find out that the inside of the building is impossible to navigate stealthily in daytime, so I fought my way up to the third floor, grabbed the stuff, and ran like hell...

At least you weren't detected before entering the base, and in pitch black night. :o

I had a pretty easy time with this level after I finally figured out that there were two bases on the level.
What I ended up doing was distracting the guards from the outside of the base and have them start chasing me. Then I ran around to the other entrance and jumped through the back of the building, ran up the stairs, killed the 3 dudes, and then ran down the ladder on the roof.

The chasing strategy works great to just take away attention from a key spot you need to get past.

Also, if you get on the rooftop of the north-east building, you'll have a pretty easy time fighting all the guys (though it may go a little slow). You can peek over the edges to take them off, and they only have one route (the fire escape) to get up to you.

Yeah.
I don't know why I had troubles with that area, because I cleaned every bandit in the building where a Dutyer is imprisoned shortly after entering the Dark Valley. And that wasn't even remotely hard, though I'm having a hard time deciding what to put into my backpack. Stocking up on anti-radiation hypos was a good idea, plus ammo for the machinegun I was using while in there.
Though I haven't found Borov I think, he has the second key I need to enter the lab right?
charlestheoaf on 19/4/2007 at 05:07
Correct. He's on the second floor, where his marker is on the map. Just search his body and objective complete.
