I wish they'd made this movie 15-20 years ago.
"He died the way he died in the game!"
"Someone punched him and then he sort of flashed for a bit and disappeared?"
"All that was left of him was a glazed ham, but I didn't pick it up in less than thirty seconds so the ham disappeared too."

What I don't understand is this.
Guy saves girl from something evil that just tried to rip her face off.
The thing is gone but not dead.
And they decide that this is the perfect time to make out or have sex..
I just don't get it.
New horror movies are lame...

I also went out and saw it last night with my girlfriend. We expected a terrible movie, but it took it far beyond terrible.
"There is a lock on the hatch!!" "Hey try this" (Drops crowbar in game to appear in real life)
and..
Bitch that's cheating!!
Now that is great writing
Okay so, it was nice to hear actual game name in the film, like Silent Hill 4 and Fatal Frame....but who gets paid for that? Do the game publishers or does the movie get money from mentioning games? Someone is getting paid here!!
I also noticed the first person view glitch. Good times. I tried to start a slow clap at the end, but everyone thought I was crazy...Either they didn't have a sense of humor or they were just traumatized by what they have just paid to see.

I just wanted to rush out before anyone saw I was there...
I kept my head down..
And who could forget the bad poetry...
Yes, that's right. They actually had to
recite a really corny poem into their headsets to get the game to start. Like casting a spell or something...
Is the movie making fun of gamers? From the quotes and decriptions that everyone gave it would seem like a mild satire, though I doubt it.
Random_Taffer on 25/3/2006 at 20:54
I don't think so.
Besides, it's not clever enough to be a Satire...

I don't think I could be arsed to sit through Stay Alive, but I just returned from watching V for Vendetta and it rocked.
