My ex-husband and I went for marriage guidance counselling when I said I wanted to separate. It was enormously helpful. We had quite a few sessions and the end result was that he fully understood and accepted why I wanted to leave. And that meant that the separation was relatively painless and the needs of the children were first in everything so there was no rancour and they weren't forced to take sides in any way. Any anger was gone and if it hadn't been for legal beagles, it would have been completely straightforward. We sorted everything out ourselves.
I remember apologising to him about 8 years later and he said he was actually grateful because it had precipitated an emotional release for him which allowed him to 'grow'. We're really good friends and we both go to other family stuff. My messy situation turned out very OK. I hope yours does too.
I know nothing about Asus.

Am I logged in? Why is no one posting?
*taps fingers on the desk*The last time I was so bored must have been in the late 90s.
I think I got salmonella poisoning from that damn ice cream parlor yesterday. I've had
two3 shots of vodka to
clean up.
Might as well make sure. Not really a vodka fan here, imagine me drinking it like Ash downs boiling water to get rid of his evil twins.
Can't say it doesn't work though. I feel better already.
And now for the news:
Chewbacca got (
http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/34638109/darth-vader-supporter-chewbacca-arrested-in-ukraine) arrested for campaigning for Darth Vader in Ukrainian local elections.
We also got a video of the arrest: (

And now a word from our sponsors!

Last week brang the beginning of my going back to work teaching (mostly games development related units) at Monash University and at the same time the packing for my move out of my parents place. Moved into the new place yesterday, and today was filled with teaching and unpacking. Due to having a large L-Shaped computer desk setup (which I had to get a large hole cut out of the bottom of so that I could connect my modem up) meant that only today I had working internet. So feeling VERY burned out from all the non stop busy-ness of it all. Not been this busy for such an extended period of time in quite some time.
I'd love to just relax for a good week, but nope got to get to work, and learning the new paths to go to get to the train station, or to drive to when I feel the need. So mentally tired. Gah.
Not even had the energy to play video games. Very un-me-like.

No wonder you don't have the energy to engage in virtual adventures right now. It'll come back. Enjoy your new start. :)

Thanks. I'm sure I'll be fine in a few days.

In the Good News/Bad News Department Took the little monster in for more blood and urine tests last week, due to continuing confusion. Good news: all tests came back negative. Bad news: this means her mental problems have taken another turn for the worse. Good news: she has gained back the weight she lost after her broken hip ordeal. Bad news: I re-dislocated my shoulder, so picking her up has become 18 lbs. more difficult. Good news: she is confused and constantly worried now. Bad news: many people with Alzheimers forget how to swallow, and die from choking or even drowning in their own saliva. Good news: If there is a God, he must have one hell of a sense of humor. Bad news: If there is a God, he must have one hell of a sense of humor.
Good news: I don't believe in a God. Bad news: euthanasia is illegal in the U.S.A. Good news: I'm just kidding about smothering her with a pillow. Bad news: I have A LOT of pillows.

Ouch that is rough. I can see why you're having some dark thoughts :( I don't really know what to say in this situation so... best of luck? My condolences? Whatever an internet stranger's words can do to make you feel a little bit less stressed.

Thanks, Yakoob. I appreciate the support. To be clear, (to you, and everyone else) don't take my posts very seriously, my goal is to make her (my mother) as comfortable as I can. It's one of those "I don't like her, but I love her" situations. Be sure that I only want for her to be happy and comfortable. She has always had some serious mental problems, but I have only recently recognized that all the things that made me dislike her in the past are long standing mental problems that she has had for all of her life. The onset of Alzheimers has not helped, but I recognize that it is not her fault, and I try to deal with it with that in mind. So when I talk about smothering her with a pillow, please be assured that I don't mean it, my goal is for her to live out the rest of her life in comfort and as happy as she can be. That being said, I can't rule out smothering her with a pillow, just because I have so many spare pillows, and I hate to waste a good pillow.

Or you could make a pillow fort.

Euthanasia should be allowed in certain conditions. I hope I never develop Alzheimer's, but if I do... I'd like to be taken out quickly and painlessly.
