Aside from my still current pile-of-bodies request (see #305) I've experienced a strange problem with Tiens's static meshes. I'm using ModernLoader and its hardlinks-based install thing (that's the major difference to my previous work) and although I can access new SMs in the browser and place them and see them in the Flesh renderer, they're gone in the actual game or just represented by a strange triangle. It happens with her decoratrive shields and the poker tables. First I thought it might be an issue of packaging but even with ibt files they won't show up. Could anyone of you use them in T3Ed?

I haven't used ModernLoader, so I'm not sure how it works. Can you manually add the .tim files for the missing meshes to your zip under StaticMeshes\DynamicallyLoaded?
I was hoping someone more familiar with ModernLoader would step in with a more intelligent answer, but it seems pretty quiet here.

Thanks for your help, but I just tried it and it won't work. Besides, even though I think I've seen a DynamicallyLoaded folder for static meshes before, I couldn't find one in the FM, T3Ed or game directories that I looked through.
The problem with ML is that I'm probably the best-informed T3Edder...and/or the only one working with it at all. :erg: It makes me wonder though how the scripts I altered for the Thief3 Gold missions worked in the end... since I'm thinking right now that both the static mesh issue and the scripts issue (see the newbie thread) are somehow related...any maybe caused by the whole hard-linking business.
Edit: Well, it's not so simple after all. When I had ML install my old T3Ed setup, it copied all the files (since this old setup had the game-related files already included). So there probably isn't a single linked file in its current directory. :(

Since my web space was extended by 3 GB and I got 9 more SQL databases the official Static Mesh Platform is about to go online again. :)

Allright, folks, the SMesh Database is ready to rumble again:
(

We now have full bandwith and almost 3 GB of space, which should be enough for the first. :D

Tiens, Judith, Shadow Sneaker, do you mind if we upload your SMs to the databse again? I'd leave it to you but since the problems were on our end, we'd spare you the time.
Edit: Oh...he already did.
