Whatta f...???
OH, my GOD!! The static meshes created by Ziemanskye are just AMAZING!!
And there's also my tower :laff:
Really compliment Ziemanskye, your skill demonstrates itself day by day greater!

Right...
Long time no work done.
The roof panels are all I'm currently playing with, but I've taken the beams out from under them. They were quite nice, but they're also going to be demoralisingly painful to re-unwrap the texture coordinates for - which is part of why I've not been doing any work for so long. So, no beams underneath the roof panels now.
Should have them on the SmeshBrothers (I hate that name), along with their matching gables, hopefully by Friday 3rd.
Crenels I haven't even started on - one of the problems here is that editing posts means I tend not to see the updates, because I just read the site by new/unread posts. I'll see about getting to that if I manage to get these simple panels out (one thing at a time, eh?), assuming you're still interested.

Thank you very very much for your efforts. :) STiFU wanted to call the project "Flesh Meshes" or something, but we just took the first somehow extraordinary name we could find. I'm open to suggestions.
The panels are still awaited, although I already made some great use of the MUScrest. It works for both simulating a different wall and faking shadows when BFed. However, since SMeshes disappear somewhat after they/their base went out of your view, I already had flashing shadows depending on the camera angle. Greater sizes would be great then.
Ah, and just if you feel underemployed (:p), maybe around summer I'd like to have – if I may – a decorative sphere like you can see (
http://s3.directupload.net/file/d/1412/ezrm4xoq_jpg.htm) here (maybe just the globe with a little socket).

See if you can't find me some bigger examples and I'll look more into it - from that picture it's mostly just a round black thing, and while we do have a default Black texture, the problem with it is that it doesn't know how to make black brighter.
As a single object, rather than a "system" of parts, it should be easier/quicker to make. One offs don't need quite so much worrying about if/how they all fit together. And sizes would be useful too - though I'd assume you want the base to fit onto a 32 wide wall/lip.
Beleg Cúthalion on 28/4/2008 at 13:22
I think the smaller invisible walls sizes should do (64x64; 64x128; 128x128; 128x256; 256x256 and maybe 64x256). The MUScrest is 12ft long (192UU), so there should be enough choice.
The globe is indeed a round black thing. While "black" could refer to the dark brown plaster texture from the CIV matlib (CIVwall_A), I don't expect anything fancy. Just a ball with a little socket to place many of them onto roofs like in the picture.

Sizes, in that context, I meant for the base of the ball-holding-thing.
For the roofs/ramps, I've got 64x64, 64x128, 64x256, 64x64 corner, 128x64, 128x128, 128x256, 128x128 corner, 256x64, 256x128, 256x256, 256x256 corner, with lip-pieces at corner, 64 long, 128 long and 256 long. All to both 2:1 and 1:1 slopes, and without the beams underneath them they should actually fit together a little better. Gables at 64, 128, 0r 256 deep, angled to be higher than the matching roof slopes, to go with that.
So, quite a lot of pieces on the whole.

Oh...and I referred to the sizes of the plain wall segments. =|
The socket could be little less than two feet square (same goes for the globe diameter I guess) , so it would even fit those standard CHR column heads you use to build archways with. But since it's on top of everything, size shouldn't be crucial.

New Toys!
7 sets:
1x1 roofs
2x1 roofs
Some simple wall sections
Some simpler cubes
Some really primitive Crenel-type things
a set of slightly off-grid (0.6 of a unit) "Decals" cut to the components of the Goodness textures.
And a ball-in-cup thingy, which I've made out of iron because it was more interesting on the texture (and it had a splat to try and "decay" the top a little)

Good work :thumb: I wish I had more time to do something like that for the community... :erg:
