Of course I won't do anything unreasonable, it's just annoying.

I'm wondering why Ziemanskye, or any other The Cabal team member (myself included) would have anything in common with doing anything on schedule :) If you're looking for a paragon of efficiency and speed, Ren is much better person for this :)

What Mass said. Try to cram too much too fast, and you'll just end up pissing yourself off and getting discouraged.
I'm speaking from experience here. HEED MY WORDS!
lol Yes, I remember you trying to do this and overwhelming yourself!

Ha! No way in hell would I consider myself anywhere close to speedy. :P

In retrospect, I shouldn't have benchmarked myself against Oddity and expected to be at least halfway decent within a couple of months. C'est la vie.

Stop it, please. I'm trying to forget that I have to become as good as Ziemanskye within...say...two weeks to stay within the schedule. :eww:
I guess someone's a fan of my work. Which is a nice compliment - however, I've been playing with Max since about 2003 so I know what I'm doing with it (for what I use it for) quite well now. It took me about 2 months to learn most of what I use, but I'm still finding new things to play with and new ways to work. But there's a lot of tutorials out there, and if you ask I'm sure we'll try to answer should you run into more specific problems.

I made a ruined pillar in Max with three materials on it. One for the top, one for the sides and one on the bottom (for BF). When I walked ontop of the pillar in T3Ed it made no footstep sounds. Something similar happened with a platform mesh : it had a metal texture on the underside and a stone texture on the top but when you walked on it, it made the metal footsteps.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks

Are the textures original? If yes, I can't help you. Otherwise search in the Material Browser, under the material category section the correct material for your section and assign it (and after export again the Matlib in .mlb format).

I just used the T3_CEM textures. I thought the problem was a custom texture so I stopped using them when making meshes. It fixed the problem before but I'm using stock textures this time and it's happening again.

Does the mesh have any holes in it, or any unwelded vertices? Might be worth giving it another VertexWeld just to be sure...
(and that's just a random suggestion - I honestly don't know if it will fix the problem)

Vertex Weld seems to have fixed the problem.
Thanks
