I just found my window in the Sweeney Todd movie which by the way features a lot of pretty scenes with buildings. Somehow I like old buildings... and one could think they stole half of their artificial backgrounds from str8g8's Bridge.

Oh, and the swords are also still on my late Christmas wish list. :p
PS: About the photos, a few days ago I noticed a street in Chemnitz (near where I live) with a lot of industrial buildings which I hadn't seen yet and I'll surely take a walk there with my small camera before I zip them up and present them to anyone interested. However, I'm again rather looking for perspective shots, so if anyone needs windows etc. for modelling - although I don't really know how this makes things easier - I'll make it dependent on the batteries.

I've seen that movie too... Nice screenshot.. But I hated the musical, so I stopped after an half hour.
However impressive similarity.

That looks great. A small family of them and I'll have a second Christmas. :D

Not bad at all. But I think it'd look better if the bricks that make up the arch were a part of the texture, or raised up only just slightly above the wall.
Also, try and fan the bricks a bit. It's a pain in the ass to do (considering I'm working on something very similar, and I'm finding it to be a pain in the ass), but the end result will look far more natural and realistic.

You mean those arches from the wall section, not the "basement" section? Yup, I'm planning to fix them, but still know almost nothing about unwrapping, that may take a while ;)

Unwrapping isn't all that hard. But if you want to see some of the neat things UVing can do, you can (

That'd probably be easier than drawing the arches in PS/Gimp and laying the UV on top of that. Just don't go to crazy with it, or you'll get weird deformations.
