Heheh that was a fast answer. So a pulldown menu again for the radio things. But searching by filesize would be an unused feature i think. And i forgot about that date thing. I wanted to make a button you can just click on and see the newest meshes.
Its a good idea to ship the sourcefiles "together" with the compiled files. Both would have to be zipped. So everybody MUST upload the compiled one and CAN upload the sourcefile. This way we could just remove the filetype radiobutton/pulldown menu and add a checkbutton "Source file" instead.

You mean there would be a single ZIP that would contain the compiled file and possibly the source file? This does mean that people who did not want the source would be forced to download it, but if the filesizes involved are small this is not much of a problem.

The filesizes are indeed small but what i meant is just that you Have to upload the compiled object, while you may also upload a second zip conaiting the source files.

To all those who cant wait to see our library... here is a first version of the design. :) Its nothing big. Just 2 hours of work, but it should be enough. And dont worry. The page will later start with the library by default not with the main-part.

I can't open any of the links - are you doing something fancy with JavaScript? Best to stick to ordinary links for this kind of thing, otherwise browser-specific problems start to occur.

You cant open any of the links because they arent implemented yet. It is just the plain design with those hover buttons... nothing more! Just wanted to show you how it could look.

Not bad, but the design is a bit cluttered. I don't think you want to have the "FleshMeshes" text overlapping the main links like that. If you want to do it, bring the main links to the front. Just a thought.
Also, too many fonts!

Scumble's right, it's not an unattractive design but it is a bit too flashy for a menu bar - more suitable for a banner ad perhaps.
Menus need to be simple and easy to read, so the user can quickly find where he needs to go without difficulty.

hmn do you really want me to redo all that stuff? I thought that might be cool and intuitive to have the menu overlapped. I would need to rethink the whole design and reslice every little part, which would be again a whole day of work. So if you really really think, that its needed to change the design, i would really do it, but i would rather like to work on my FM now... ;)
You wont work with that topbar most of the time anyway. The browsepanel will be in that lower black one and the page will directly start with the library, so theres no need to click on the "banner". :)
And that too many fonts thing: Its only 2 by now! :D Yes 2! "Carleton" and "Argor got Scaqh".

Sometimes 2 is too many!
I can see it would take a while to redo, but you have overlapped the title and links the wrong way round I think. Just looks untidy to me. However, it makes more sense to get the actual system to work first rather than fancy menus. I've lost count of the number of mod-related sites that just have a fancy menu and no content...
