I'm just creating a simple room, i'm using an unreal ed 3 tutorial and it says to make a player stating point rightclick on the floor and select Add Player Start Here, but it doesnt show up in the menu, just add light etc, does anyone know where the command is?

You need to go into the actor browser and navigate to PlayerStart, and select it. The "Add X Here" thing only appears when you have something selected in the browser. Well, as far as I know, which isn't very far at all where UEd is concerned. :erg:
Check the Editor Readme thread.

Z is right, you have to find the playerstart in the actor browser (aka gamesys) and then right click on a bsp surface and click the option to place it. I can't recall exactly where to find it in the gamesys, as I haven't been in the editor for nearly a year, but I think it's under Marker>NavigationPoint or something similar.

I'd first try out the tutorials so kindly provided by the devs (or was that part of what you mods worked on? :p) and the release/installation document you can find a link to in this forum...
