So very odd.
For some reason, my FPS seems to have increased overall by an average of about 10FPS. I'm now running with HQ settings and getting between 20-30fps.
Which makes literally zero sense, unless the devs decided to reward those who do a second run-through with slicker code.
In a way I can't adequately explain, the game just feels different. I'm pretty sure I started my last run-through with 1.0003 patch applied, so I can't put my finger on why it all feels different. I'll make a mental note to pick up on things that make me think that and list them - see if nay of it makes sense.
Also, one of Wolf's scouts had binoculars for sale in his Trade screen - WTF!?
What happens if I buy them?
Who knows - maybe I'll try to find out.

readme says that some changes will work only after new game is started.
I doubt that it concerns increrasing of frame rate, but it very well may affect binoculars for sale f.e.

The patch changelog did mention better performance as far as I can remember.

Yeah, but I'm pretty certain I started my first game as 1.0003
The element of doubt is creeping in now however.

Well, your mind can play tricks on you sometimes. But if you actually started it on 1.0003, then I'm gonna assume something in your computer or the game settings changed before you started the second runthrough.

I've also got to consider the possibility that having just finished the game recently, my mind is in "zone veteran" mode and everything just feels so different because of the relative ease with which I'm accomplishing that which had me biting my fist in frustration over before.

I had that too, bought them for 200. Could find any use for them, sold them for 199.

I bought a harmonica from a Stalker.
Found a guitar, too.

Can you play the instruments?

No. Maybe with mods.
