Neverwhere was fun, yes, but very, very low budget.

Well, I'll probably stay with the book and my imagination then :) It would be very hard to get in Czech Rep. anyway.

Try the comic! If you can stand the constant and irrational bolding of words then it's really great.

I don't MIND things like that SINCE my love affair with THE old AMIGA version OF BENEATH a steel SKY.

Loving the book, I was only brave enough to see the Stardust movie after seeing how exited about it Neil Gaiman was about it. And I'd put it right up there with with my favourite adaptions. Pretty much all the changes that I noticed were changes that made it a better movie. And it was shiny in all the right ways.

My husband and I went to see this yesterday and we both really enjoyed it. We had several laugh-out-loud moments. The story seemed to move along well and overall I thought it was a fun movie. :D

Does the book explain why Our Hero's mom is such a slut?

Does the book explain why Our Hero's dad is such a slut?

Not that I recall. But in the book she is also bitchy and manipulative. Also get's some mother-in-law moments with whats-her-name.
