I tried a few of those Precursor mixes, and wasn't very impressed. They seem to mostly consist of taking the original tunes and throwing piles of sonic garbage on top of them. The updated Ur-Quan theme is particularly horrid.

As awesome as SC2/UQM is(hell, I think it could very well be the best game ever made as of today), I don't think that a four-year bump calls for happy days and jubilation on these forums...
Now, I must go through the following:
-Update UQM 0.6.0 to 0.6.1 (just learned of the update through this thread)
-Get more people to play it (and other games like Starflight, for that matter)
-Figure out how to port it to Palm OS 5.x devices (The WM and Linux PDAs have it, as well as the PSP and the GP2X, so why not the Palm OS gear? Besides, a game this excellent needs to be spread on as many platforms as possible!)

There's no doubt the remixes are quite varied in quality. The ur-quan one is bad as is - I blame the drum. But the Chmmr, Thraddash, Human, Melnorme and Druuge ones I feel are especially well done.
Just wish they'd finish the damn things already. Only one left to go, after all.
