As long as you haven't installed support (code pages) in OS for Cyrillic letters.

I have that letters-support installed, which is the reason they look scary but not corrupted. ;)

It happens to me when I am moving towards areas with a lot of stalkers/military/etc. I think it is because it takes a while to load their models or portraits for the contacts list. That, and I really need to defrag my hard drive.

haven't experienced a single freeze yet. I suspect CPU or GPU overheat, maybe bad video drivers...

Try wait some time, I occasionally get freezes that last for many seconds.

I've had complete freezes twice when playing stalker and I've completed it three times now. Both times I wasn't sure if it was just a long hang, so I made a cup of tea, came back and it was still frozen.

Either it was a complete freeze or an insanely long hang. :erm:
It'd be quicker to just restart the game I bet.

How did you get the joystick setup for this as I would like to use this as well? I can't figure out how to map the controller... Do you use a special app. for this?:confused:
