Just bought it from play.com, got home and it was sat on the floor waiting for me...
So I shall give it a play this evening..

so after 6-10 hours play (and barley even scratching the surface) I must say:
WE GOT A WINNER !!!!!!
Yes, it's not optimized, riddled with bugs, glitches and downright frustrating
hicups/stutters/freezes and questionable AI, BUT
I never had that much fun playing a game for a long time.
I love the non-scripted fights and open environment.
I'm playing on STALKER-difficulty for the first run-through,
playstyle:
Snipe and Hide (open fields)
Hit and Run (in camps with lotsa enemies/towers)
Entrench (once inside the camp)
or my favorite:
Dance the Anomalitis (getting boars and dogs to kill themselves in anomalies)
Chaositizer (getting AI to fight each other and throw some animals into the mix)

Stealth is not easy in Agroprom, it's almost like the military have xray goggles equipped. :eww:

Stealth is not easy everywhere. People can spot me from far away. I think they should have refined stealth gameplay better, include some backstabbing or eventually few more stealth weapons like springwire - instead of too many kinds of rifles.

It's odd, but even though enemies can spot me from far away, they don't notice me if I come from the side until I'm so close that not achiving a headshot is hard to do.

The range on the knife (at least the secondary attack) REALLY needs to be extended. Sometimes the player/character collision boxes alone keep you out of range :(
This has ruined my stealthy moments many times. Though it's funny when someone doesn't even realise when you're repeatedly stabbing at them and missing a centimeter away from their head.
EDIT:
On a side note, I had the most awesome duel in the carpark in the garbage last night. The bandits were coming in from the west, a couple from the east, and a pack of wild dogs stormed through at the same time. There were about 5-6 other stalkers there with me. O man, that was awesome.

Well, stalker is awesome.

I bet the framerate must have been awesome as well. :cheeky:

I sometimes watch the fight between bandits and stalkers as a spectator and then loot bodies afterwards.
That is awesome. :p

While I have some crashes every now and then, I really do have a truly fantastic framerate even with 20-30 npcs fighting around me, and I'm running almost everything at goddamn maximum settings except for the anisotropic filtering, antialias (which doesn't work anyway) and grass shadows.
And my rig is not the state-of-the-art, it's an Amd 64 single core 4000, 2gig of ram and a X1600 XT 256. I've read about performance problems with much better setups than mine. A luck?
