What armor costs 200 000? Ok, you've been exagerrating.
How much exoskeleton costs in the 1.0001 version and up?
steo on 11/5/2007 at 09:50
100,000 I think.

I read the price is 200.000 in a lot of posts...
maybe the price is dependant of reputation?

And most importantly, where you can buy it ? I found my first exoskeleton in Pripyat and two more in the Power Plant. In the inventory it had price of 50 000. It's true I had reputation above 1500.
steo on 11/5/2007 at 10:08
I'm not convinced that reputation actually has any affect on prices or anything else for that matter.

The inventory price is definitely more than 2 times lesser than full price (in patched game at least), so 200.000 seems more like truth. I belive you can buy exoskeleton from 'Skryaga' (his name in Russian version), maybe he's called something like 'Codger' in English, I'm not sure.

It definitely has when you buy/sell things from/to Sidorovich, Barkeeper or Sakharov at least. Tested by me. But maybe it doesn't concern ALL merchandise.

Jashin : Sounds like stalker is too slow for you.
Stalker ran fine. Perfect framerate, no hard disk usage. Everything goes into RAM or RamDisk.
Doom3 is a barebones shooter, and not a really good one at all. Its exp pack is somewhat better.
I thought Doom3 was the only game that scared me since System Shock 2. I'd stay up until the 'wee hours with headphones on in pitch black. It was a great game :D
D'Arcy : Dick Cheney shot an old geezer at point blank with a shotgun and he survived.
Remember that he went down, and survived only after hours of surgery in a modern hospital. If he were in Chernobyl. :ebil:
Bjossi : It's hardly useful up close against the tougher bad guys
Agreed. I used it against one of the early bandits.
he isn't exactly attractive either. (though Alyx is)
Yeah :D they did a good job on the models on HL2.. I hope Thief can get re-released and updated. Including fan-missions.
So, let me guess, your only goal...
Trust me, I am just writing about my experience. No other reason. I think when they release the game on sale for 15 dollars, it would be worth it. currently.. well you know how I feel. It's like Windows Vista, released before its time.
The pump shotguns are more worthy.
Ah.. my favorite weapon, after using a trainer to increase the damage.
steo  : I actually thought the stealth was fairly realistic in stalker...
well I found the complete opposite, and you have to modify the game to get the old 'walk' mode into it, so it wasn't part of the original release concept. nor considered worthy of being the default option nor in the options in fact. so the average gamer will probably never experience calmly having a stroll through the pixelated undergrowth.
 I found hiding in bushes to be very effective.
I dunno if you work for that company that made the game... :joke: but no, I tried it umpteen times. It might as well not have existed. Absolutely false.
he didn't die? Simple really, you missed.
No, I quick saved. Ran up to him, shot him twice in the face. Just to make sure, I loaded it, and repeated a few times. It was funny at first, but... all the half-finished aspects of the game started to get under my skin. Especially after the ending, what with Dracula and all. What did I learn from this game.. oh, when I hear somebody speaking Russian that sounds like Dracula... walk away. Don't bother to continue.
Bjossi : Doom 3 wasn't revolutionary, Doom 3 engine was
That's what I meant. thanks :thumb:
242 : After working through Yantar and X16 yesterday I'd say the game's one of the best I've played in last 3 or 4 years.
Glad you liked it.
And even if you somehow still don't like it, play at least till X18, Yantar, and X16.
Time-out your refund :p but I agree, don't make any hasty judgements. I played it all the way through before sending it away to another continent. I feel so happy now that it's gone. i would have got a trusty crowbar at it otherwise.

Absolutely false.Well, I'm not going to debate. If you don't like it so be it, there is a lot of other games out there for your taste.
But this your statement is absolute false :)
Bushes ARE effective and they help to hide. This tested and approved by a lot of people, me included.
If you didn't like the game it's obvious you played it hastily and didn't take notice of a lot of things. At least I play like that if I don't like a game but still somehow want to finish it.

I don't recall if oisin posted if he played a patched version or not; but the unpatched out-of-the-box version had broken stealth and I had the same experience. However, with patch 1.0001 it now works to hide in bushes, and I can sneak up on npc's (at least to about 2 feet from them from their backsides).
