Ending with death are just as real as as the others... people just like the "make your own future" ending most, admittingly it's most difficult to get and demands more fighting in the final phase. But from the aspect of the game world, Monolith endings are just as true as the others - you have essentially fulfilled given objectives and killed yourself without even knowing you were ordered to do so.
The fact that some Monolith endings are much harder to achieve than some others is a bit unfair perhaps.
