I visited Pripyat for the first time yesterday evening. I have mixed feelings... :erg:
[spoiler]It's exactly that desolated city as I expected it to be but far from a quiet, creepy ghost town - it's a warzone and you are being attacked by Monolith everywhere. A good example of urban combat, still... :( [/spoiler]

Not yet, I hanged there just for few minutes and I didn't join the stalker group as I am ordered to.

At that time you should have plenty of assault rifles to choose from and craploads of ammo. In my storage box on the bar and in the farm house right after exiting Rostok has around 500 NATO rounds total, and I have in there 4 - 5 types of assault rifles and 2 sniper rifles (almost no ammo though. :()

I have sold all my accumulated supplies I had stashed in Rostok and took only the most useful things with me, I doubt I will go the long way back anymore.

I have endless supplies of stuff in those boxes, I'm getting close to 40 medkits, and that is not counting the yellow and blue ones. :p

I found another special gun.
The guards guarding the entrance to the freedome base (not the exo guard, the other two) have an SGI (i think it's called) with boosted stats and an attached scope. It has pretty low recoil and can accept a grenade launcher.

I found the tourist suit (stalker suit that lets you carry more). You get it as a reward for bringing night star to the trader. Also, if you bring goldfish to the barkeep then he gives you an LR300, SUSAT scope, silencer, and M203 grenade launcher.
Has anyone found the silenced colt 45?

bloody Sniper Sig550, 5ki or whatever it is. i found one in the army warehouse base when I wiped it out but the gun was very, very damaged.
I know you cant repair them, does this simply mean my dream is over?
