SPAS12 must be quite rare then ... I have killed the exo suit zombie in Yantar, but foolishly sold SPAS12 afterwards in hope I find another later. :(

Where in Yantar does that exo-zombie hang out? I think I missed it...
Rogue Keeper on 24/4/2007 at 12:32
In my case it was attacking Dutyers guarding the scientist lab the second time I have visited Yantar. I haven't had luck to meet the other SPAS12 zombie in Red Forrest so far.

Hmm, why don't you go there again and see if he respawns? That shotgun does sound delicious.

Red Forest exo zombie usually hangs around in the forest itself. Look for a group of zombies behind the long fence. I think these are the only zombies in the whole map.

I've been in Yantar two times after the first visit and never saw such zombie again and I doubt I'll go there anymore. Little reason to make the long dangerous trip from Red Forrest where I am hanging now.

Ah, very good, I didn't explore the forest itself yet because I didn't want to waste ammo on those spooky
hallucination pseudodogs. But now that I have turned the Brain Scorcher off, I will examine it more closely. Although it's tricky to find a safe path with so many radioactive hotspots in that area.

Aren't you immune to radiation if you use the Duty suit (90% radiation resistance) plus an artifact that cuts at least 10% of radiation damage?
steo on 24/4/2007 at 18:13
Isn't radiation resistance from armour different from what artifacts like fireball give. I always thought that armour would cut out x% of radiation that gets through, while the artifacts reduce it by a certain amount, like vodka but over more time.
Bjossi on 24/4/2007 at 18:35
Well, one could always try and see what happens. I do have the Duty suit on and have Fireball in my inventory. . .

The ecologist gives you the best value for artifacts, I know that much.
After the x16 mission, he gives you the best value for lots of things. I saw him even paying more than the items value for a few things. And he pays full value for artifacts.
And here's how I think the radiation resistance works: The suits keep you from absorbing it, and the artifacts flush it out of your system more quickly (and might keep you from absorbing it if the radiation is under the "flushing" amount).
When going into heavy radiation with 3 or 4 urchins, my radiation level still went up, but after walking out it dropped almost instantly.
When I had the SEVA suit on and one crystal, the radiation would go up by 1 or 2 pixels, and then drop back down to zero, constantly repeating this.
EDIT:
I found an anomoly that gives +30% against chemical burns. What all causes chemical burns? I assume the green sludge does, but does anything else? It would be cool if some enemies spit acid or had acidic blood or something.
