Yep, I love 1.004 post-Lab16 Wild Territory :) When I played the game last time after a certain practice doing many side quests there as well as having got proper equipment, I started to feel myself there almost like at home, even with all those monsters around. Even learned location and usual behaviour pattern of each group of monsters there. But from the start it semeed to me as total chaos, and the only wish was to run away as fast as I could ;)

The worst surprise that 1.0004 brought me in the Wild Territories was when I was returning to the Bar area after visiting it for the first time and saving Kruglov. When I was almost leaving, from the Bar passage appeared one or two packs of blind dogs, several rats, some three Pseudodogs, maybe three or four Snorks, a couple of Bloodsuckers, and even a group of bandits (which were promptly killed by the beasts). I ran away towards the Duty camp nearby, but the beasts also killed all five or six dutiers, so I had a really rough time surviving.

That happened in my game me too ;)

well it looks a lot like the teleporter anomalies in chernobyl NPP. I'm guessing one of the mods put it there.
yep, probably the UHSF. already like it a lot.

That seems to happen quite frequently in the later stages of the game. After a while, all mutants appear as friends after being killed.

nice mutant.

can you play AMK on 1.005 as well ?
I got the steam version now as well and it's on 1.005.
so I only tried OblivionLost and PriboiStory up until now.
OblivionLost will incorporate a few things of AMK for its ver2.00
(or already did: crazy grenadier mod) but until then I would like to try out AMK. I heard stalkers can now loot bodies and hunt for artifacts ?

I didn't like OL at all, but AMK is amazing. NPCs loot corpses, stashes, items, artifacts off the ground, they sell things at the trader etc. They call for help on the radio, they leave things for you at the trader if you help them, they announce deaths, sightings groups of enemies, mutants, fire fights, when blowouts will happen, what the weather is like, or if they find fancy items and they have better they sometimes announce that they're selling it. They also throw granades (which is super deadly and forces you to move instead of camping and picking them off) and use medkits. I probably left a bunch of things out.
There's also a great "rare stash" option where you rarely find a stash but when you do it's always worth getting it ASAP - i.e. unique weapons, powerful artifacts, etc.

http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/3505/ssd042308171828l04darkvgh2.jpgYou will want to set the blowout interval to something higher than the minimum as I did or the above may happen (since that's when mutants spawn). Set it at least higher than the NPC respawn rate. Otherwise sparsely defended areas like Dark Valley are wiped clean of humans every time a blowout happens.

You'd better edit those pics, since they are too big. Images shouldn't be wider than 800px in TTLG.
