Just like it says, Stalker is now up on GameTap.com and is only free for subscribers. Also, Gothic 3, Painkiller, SupCom.

Why it's only 948.4MB?
It can't be full version with all textures and sounds of original quality even if super-mega-ultra compressed.

Super-mega-ultra compression's pretty good these days...

Turn on 'full download' in GT's download options to see Stalker's actual size (from the actual client).
Otherwise, GT only downloads the files you need to start the game, and will download the rest as you play. It means you can jump into the game faster, but, depending on how fast you play, it could also spell slowdowns later. I prefer full download.

Grrr. It sounded interesting, but then I saw that GameTap is only available in Canada and the US.
I have decided that I'll have to check out this STALKER game. I get great reviews of it from Darcy.

Well worth it, it's probably the best game of '07.

Considering you can buy it in the Gamer's choice line of budget games for $20 AUD these days, you should be able to pick it up on CD dirt cheap in europe anyways.

But only with the fan patches. Otherwise it's still a buggy mess.

I can safely say that CS is far buggier than SoC, having played both games to death.

Aside from a couple of broken quests, I don't remember any major bugs in the latest SoC, enlighten me.
