I suppose that this will be a brand new S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game, and not an expansion to the original game - especially since it's supposed to be a prequel to the events that we know. But it sure looks promising!

It must be the expansion they were talking about on the official forums. X-Ray 1.5 and Q1 2008 are telltale signs. They wrote that next brand new game from Stalker universe would be based on a different engine (not their own this time, probably UE).
Clear Sky may have a new storyline, AI, maps etc. but it very well may require original game because of good portion of shared resources.
Nice advertisement, BTW :thumb:
But Learn more link leads to "Sorry no DB Available...2003"
PS: It seems devs site is down.

That music perfectly fits the video :)

The videos of Clear Sky from E3 are shot in a test level. The actual Clear Sky should be vastly different from vanilla Stalker.
I'm trying to imagine a scenario on the fly for this prequel that'll be as memorable as Stalker was. Not easy. The devs definitely have work ahead of them.

that gameplay video looks pretty sweet.
