Bad bad Briar. The issue of inconsistent AI behavior between saves has become rare enough to make me forget to duplicate quicksave every couple minutes. But it's not absent.
Saved just before a dialog encounter, chose a "shut up and die" option and now the quickload takes me back not before the encounter but at the end of a strange gunfight with the NPC. In which I have no chance to survive. Lost 2 hours of play :(
But I'm going back to it in a few hours, tells how good this is.

The cooling tower (I'm playing in german so I don't know its english name) to the north west of the station. Where one is supposed to check for anomalies with an upgraded detector and people seem to be trapped. But it's ok now, I've read elsewhere there is no entry anyway and I haven't even got that detector yet.

It's the acid anomaly field roughly in the center of the yanov/jupiter area where you have to pick a plant in order to get the suit for sokolov

242, what is the "proper" way of doing the Dredger mission(Bring the glowing rudder)? Can you talk to the guy after he gives it to Beard, and does that lead anywhere?
I just can't believe they right way to to it is a firefight...

You can, but the best you can win in that case is 1000 (IIRC), if you will be nice with him. There is a bonus though, you'll be able to get "A friend of stalkers" achievement sooner. There won't be further quests, but I don't think that additional 2000 is worth the firefight.
