If you like, I can email you my config\weapons folder. Just drop me a PM with your address and I'll send it.
Can you also send me the files? I'm playing with OL for the first time and while there are lots of great stuff in that mod, the weapons and artifacts are way overpowered. I haven't even reached Yantar and I have almost 90% bullet-prof.
I've sent you a PM with my mail address.

Yeah, I always thought a lot of the changes in OL were pretty rubbish. The best bits are all cribbed from other mods
As I understand it, 90% of OL is other mods. Mostly AMK.
Not to say AMK is flawless - they never bothered to fix any bugs and they also made the superpowered artifacts(Though I admit they're hard to get, unless you play with Random, Rare stash mode which is quite imba).

They are hard to get but anyone who's just installed a new mod and sees that they can now transmute artifacts to get better ones is going to try it, and by the time you get to wild territory enemies will sometimes be dropping artifacts that shit all over mamas beads and can be transmuted to +20% bulletproof cap (to name the best of several good properties) for free.
And even if they are hard to find, they're so powerful that you really don't need to find very many of them to become impervious to bullets. With ten artifact slots, eight stoneflowers (and two fireballs) is already giving you a 24% bonus, better than you could get in vanilla stalker and using only common artifacts.

In AMK enemies don't drop artifacts. So, to make the superpowered Glassbeads, you need to transmute normal Glassbeads, ahhh, I think 3 times?
Also it's worth noting that in AMK even with 100%+ bulletproof cap I was still losing health when shot. I think it depends on armor-piercing value of the bullet.

Plus this can take forever and every stage contains a risk of bricking the artifact

Now that's preposterous.
And how can you headshot if the guns are inaccurate?
I've vanilla stalker and I'd say 90% of my kills were due to head shots. I'm not a wizard at FPSs, it's just not that hard to get head shots. Especially once you get the no-flash sniper rifle (the red one, can't remember what it's called). Pretty much used that until I got the super-powered guns in the sarcophagus in the end.
I really found the accuracy of the guns to not be a problem.

During most of the game I don't even use a scoped weapon (I use the Groza) and I still manage to get plenty of headshots. 2-3 shots are usually enough to get one headshot, since after a while we just learn how to compensate for the weapons' inaccuracy.
