Exactly. 12 hours? I think I can spend 12 hours visiting only Cordon and The Garbage. In my last run it took me some 7 or 8 hours before I left the Cordon area. I noticed that Sid was selling the modified Groza right at the start of the game, so I wanted to collect the necessary 20.000 Ru to buy it - unfortunately, once I had enough money, he was no longer selling it, and I ended up collecting more than 50.000 Ru before leaving the Cordon area.
Wow. I can sink a lot of time into games but..7 hours in cordon alone? Damn! Allthough I do suppose I was rushing for army warehouses to get ahold of the SR-25 (or the knights mod 0, whichever you prefer). Yes indeedy, I love my arsenOL mod :).

I should say that in those seven hours or so I completely cleaned up Cordon. This included raiding the Army base. I started by killing the three-men patrol on the road, then defeated the successive assaults (three of them, if I'm not mistaken) that the military launched on the rookie village, and finally decided to go straight to the source, and attack the base. When I got there, the only ones left were the captain and two other soldiers. Selling all those weapons and goodies to Sid was a big help in reaching 50.000 Ru :)
Plus, I brought along those military documents that later on in the game (after X18) Sid asks you to get.

Maybe it was just in an old patch, but I remember grabbing the military docs in cordon before doing dark valley broke that quest.
I guess this just reflects upon different ways of playing the game. I generally get through things relatively quickly, doing only the first few side quests in cordon before hitting the garbage and then I do whatever quests I've got there and head straight to agropom. I'm usually out of the tunnels by around first nightfall, sometimes a bit before, which is handy for making a stealthy grab for the documents. I more or less avoid revisiting areas without a good reason and I don't bother hoarding all the weapons off dead guys, I just take what I can carry and stash items wherever there's a seller.

I sell every single object that I come across in the game, even if it means making multiple travels between levels. It's an OCD thing, I guess. I usually finish the game with more than 2M Ru.
And in Agroprom, I always make a point of going into the underground levels between 0:00 and 5:00, to make sure that I get a few stamina artifacts. I'm also not worried about being stealthy at all when going for the documents. I want to kill all the soldiers, then grab all the goodies and weapons they have to sell them later at the Bar (the first time I get there, I usually have 900+ Kg of stuff to sell) :cheeky:

Yeh I was like that with Stalker. I wasnt happy until I had cleared out everything I possibly could out of each area. As a result, I have started a number of games, but have never actually reached Pripyat!
