I personally don't believe in Stalker on a foreign engine. If they won't create a new specifically crafted engine for Stalker 2, I'm somehow sure the new game will suck.
Yeah, there's something genetic about most unique games and their engines.
It's supposed to be all just numbers but there's usually some unreproducable aspect.
I've never liked any Unreal engine generations completely. They lack something. I don't understand why. But it's obvious to me that a game is using one shortly after I play a given game for a bit.

We are talking about a lot of numbers, it is anything but easy to reproduce the same feel on two different engines. And I agree about the Unreal engines, though I was actually very happy with the way Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory turned out aesthetically.

If somebody is BSing around, that's you.
And to make the point, dear Mr. Experts, I don't buy Quadro to play... but I suppose pretending to play on the same PC I use to work isn't entirely irrealistic.
I could dismantle easily most, if not all your objections, but it's clear you're not listening, reading or even googling "door won't open".
I just wanted to say my opinion and that's it.

I could dismantle easily most, if not all, of your face but I'm not going to because that would actually prove that I could, thus giving some weight to my words.
In regards to your door opening bug, you've been very unlucky as it's a rare bug that no one else here (as far as I know) has ever hit and a lot of us have played stalker many times.
There are weapons and ammo in abundance in stalker. As I said, every single enemy you kill who has a gun will drop it, along with some ammo. If you loot corpses, you will have a huge amount of 9x18mm rounds by the time you reach the garbage, better ammo is common at later points in the game and you can buy as much as you like from traders (there is no door that can close for the second trader in the game). If you buy all the ammo a trader has to sell and you really need more, you can save/load and he will replenish his stock. You could also easily modify traders to give away hundreds of grenades for free, to solve you door opening problem.

I've spent at least 100 hours playing STALKER since running it for the first time and I've never encountered the door bug before.
And yes, there is more than enough ammo in the game, unload weapons dead enemies drop and search their bodies for more items like ammo and bandages.

In digest:
"I can't play stalker. I think stalker engine sucks"
"maybe your computer is the one that sucks here maybe?"
"no i got quatro and fast stuff that cost more tahn 10 cars"
"Quadro sucks for games"
"olol i don't use quatro to play games"
SO WHY'D YOU EVEN BRING IT UP THEN, HUH?
steo on 17/4/2009 at 18:36
Mostly accurate but I think he meant he was playing on the quadro and then whining about performance even though he obviously knows (once we pointed it out) that they weren't built for gaming.
Renzatic on 17/4/2009 at 18:45
If he knew, then he actually had even less reason to bring it up. :P

Guys, stop dismantling his irrealistic arguements LOL!!
EvaUnit02 on 18/4/2009 at 15:36
Does the word irrealistic even exist?
