S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 - by clearing

It certainly confused me as well. I really loved the first half of Shadow of Chernobyl, but the latter half was a bit of a chore, so I never felt like playing Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat after finishing the first game. Are they both still "full length" games despite of being expansions/DLC?

Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat are both stand alone games. CS feel more like an expansion as it reuses most of the maps from the original but it adds more content and has an original story. CoP has entirely new maps and they are much bigger than the previous two but there are only 3 of them (plus some smaller interjoining ones). Both games feel a little like a refinement of the previous entry in the series.
If you didn't like SoC because if felt like a chore, perhaps skip CS and give CoP a shot, it's a much freer environment with more of an emphasis on exploring.

Yes Tomi and both are worth playing. Clear Sky can get a little frustrating because it gives you challenges almost simultaneously ('Old Church is under attack' & 5 seconds later another camp is under attack, too) but I enjoyed it. Call of Pripyat is a little easier than the first two and I enjoyed that as well.

I decided to replay Stalker from the first game with all add-ons and DLC. Started with Shadow of Chernobyl

calling this "gameplay" is rather generous, gsc...
