S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 - by clearing

Grigorovitch may have found (
http://galyonkin.com/2012/07/31/stalker-2-zhiv-izdaet-bethesda/) a deal with Bethesda without selling the brand. More precisely, it appears he only sold the rights for a game which Bethesda would develop as they see fit in one of their studios (they don't have any in Ukraine) with their own technology. What.
Hopefully more official info soon.

Who knows? I'm not convinced we'll get a convincing sequel to Stalker, but whatever does come out might be ok in its own right.

As I understand, it means that Beth have licensed the right to produce, with their own tech and assets, one STALKER game. They have not bought the STALKER IP, nor have they licensed the use of the X-Ray engine or the content files of the previous games for this project.

Thank you Ostriig.
This could be tragic.

What it means (in other words) is that Grigorovich is making a boatload of cash doing absolutely nothing besides signing a sheet of paper while everyone ever involved in S.T.A.L.K.E.R, from developers to gamers, has moved onto something else.
Gotta take good care of that beautiful juvenile mustache and pay the daily delivery of cocaine and prostitutes.
