Considering how Thief 2X: Shadows of the Metal Age was, why hasn't there been an attempt at a fan made expansion pack for System Shock 2 in the scale of that mod? I feel like there could be tons of things to explore in the world SS2 which the retail game did not in such a mod. Even better, with the recent imrpovements in computer technology, many new effects can be added to game similar to Thief 2X's effects.
I am aware of such notable fan expansions as Ponterbee Station and UNN Nightwalker, not the mention the awesome Citadel Station mod that's coming up, but has such a fan expansion for SS2 been attempted to the scale of T2X?

There hasn't been another mod done on that scale for any other game, here. Learn the editor, write a story, do some concept art, and maybe you'll attract enough attention from people who can help you and follow through on even one task, and help with making new models and skins, do voice-work, foley, and music... :sweat: Can you see the problem?

Yes, but it was a large number of years ago annnnnd it failed horribly.
