SS2 running too fast... - by Xeritjan

I've searched everywhere and can't find a fix for this.
I did have SS2 installed on my old PC (a singlecore crappy XP system) and it was working fine (used the stickies on this website to set it up). I'm now trying to run it on my new PC (a quadcore with decent gfx etc on same OS) and for some reason the walking speed of my character is A LOT faster.
Any ideas on what to do about this? I'm running it on one core with all the same settings I had from the old PC but it's faster. The audio stays the same, just the player model runs faster

Turn VSync to "Force On" in your graphic card control panel.

I forgot to mention this. Using Vsync with 60hz (and tried 75hz) to no avail. If I run Vsync with the DirectX application in the background as suggested then the game feels weirder compared to my old PC's in that the speed is 'normaller' but when I jump it feels as though there is no gravity

Disable CPU throttling.
