It also says "each weapon". So, marketing it is?
Sure, Ken Levine was evil all the way back in 1999.

I remember standing in the Compucentre just staring at the box for a good half an hour, totally blocking the path for people to walk by because I was so absorbed in the awesome screenshots and reading the features list over and over again. :D

I played the demo when it was first released and slept with the lights on for a week and a half

Ahh, I remember the first time I played this. It was 1999 and PC Gamer had just sent me a fresh new Demo CD.. Those were good days, filled with terror and the wails of fallen Hybrids.
Oh, and incase I was the only one who used cheatcodes, the demo contains a fully working version of every psi power, weapon, and ammo typed, except for the laser rapier. ( IIRC )

I remember playing the demo over and over because I didn't have the cash to buy it at the time if I recall right you could can use the summon_obj in the demo also and summon the access cards to go into areas that are supposed to be cut off :ebil:

This brings back fond memories. Played it off of a PC Gamer magazine demo disc knowing nothing other that it was made by the people who did Thief.
That first hybrid in Med Sci killed me so many times because I was too scared to fight back.

I had never heard of Irrational or Looking Glass (or System Shock) previous to playing this game; in fact, it was even my first FPS. As soon as those first two hybrids rushed me, I jumped in my chair, freaked, and ran Goggles back to the safety of the upgrade units.
It was a few days before I could muster the courage to go back.
This wasn't the demo, though, but I doubt that matters.

I remember wrestling with my crappy little TNT2 video card - trying to get SS2 to run right.. when it did, I was hooked for weeks. I'd played SS1, so knew roughly what I thought I could expect, but the actual experience went so beyond that.
