I got SS2 a week or so ago and after a little fiddeling i managed to get it to work, albeit with a few minor bugs and hiccups. However yesterday i found the first gamebreaking bug, as a psi character anyway, the use of projected pyrokinesis causing the game to crash, is there anyway to fix this.

Looks like you broke your game in ways previously unimaginable. Reinstall and make it better next time.

I've recently completed (like, in the past few weeks) three PSI-only playthroughs, and never had a problem with Pyro. Used it quite a lot in my first two playthroughs (skipped all the level 3 PSI in my last playthrough).
I don't think it's a "bug in general". Maybe something specific to your install.

Don't use projected pyrokinesis? :)
Reinstall is probably the best bet. I presume you've applied the official 2.3 patch?
